4 'motorcycle thieves' nabbed in QC, Bulacan

Four alleged motorcycle robbers were arrested in two operations conducted by members of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Anti-Carnapping Unit (DACU) in Quezon City and Bulacan on Tuesday, June 14.

The QCPD identified the suspects as Reagan Guison, 36, a resident of Tondo, Manila; Rol Rustom Basbas, 29; Nelson Salem, 21; and Lloyd Galang, 22, all of Bulacan.

Police said the victim, Christian Paul Junio, 23, of Sta. Mesa, Manila, asked for their help at around 1:30 a.m. on June 13, claiming that Guison stole his Honda Click motorcycle after their drinking session.

According to the police, the suspect offered to drive the victim home since he was already drunk.

Guison, however, left Junio on Mindanao Street in Brgy. Sto. Niño, Quezon City, after the latter requested him to stop to pee.

Police conducted a follow-up operation on Tuesday morning, June 14, which resulted in the arrest of Guison on Visayas St. in the same barangay at around 6:30 a.m.

During police questioning, the suspect revealed that the stolen vehicle was brought to a motorcycle parts and accessories shop in San Miguel, Bulacan.

Operatives of DACU, in coordination with the Bulacan Provincial Police Office, went to the shop manned by suspects Basbas, Salem, and Galang at around 1:30 p.m. on the same day, where they found the stolen vehicle.

The cops arrested the three after they failed to show the documents for the motorcycle.

Authorities recovered from the suspects the victim’s motorcycle and four more motorbikes.
