QCPD personnel undergo random drug testing

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) officials and personnel underwent random drug testing on Saturday, June 11, at the QCPD Headquarters.

A total of 77 Commissioned Officers (PCOs), Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCOs), and Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP), and Police Aides (PAs) underwent the drug testing.

“Ito ay magsisilbing paalala sa lahat ng ating kapulisan na kailanman ay huwag masasangkot sa paggamit ng iligal na droga at sa halip ay maging ehemplo sa mamamayang pinaglilingkuran (This will serve as a reminder to all our police to never get involved in the use of illegal drugs and instead be an example to the people they serve),” QCPD director Police Brig. Gen. Remus Medina said in a statement.

“Ang sinumang mapapatunayang positibo sa paggamit nito ay hindi kukunsintihin ng QCPD, sa halip ay sasailalim ito sa masusing imbestigasyon at kakasuhan ayon sa alituntunin ng batas (Anyone who will be found positive for its use will not be tolerated by the QCPD but will instead be thoroughly investigated and charged in accordance with the rule of law),” he added.
