Former actor-turned-politician, Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando is a restless public servant, but he has no ifs and buts not to continue what he loves doing: to serve relentlessly and show his worth as incumbent provincial top official.

Governor Daniel’s positive attitude in handling his daily task as a public servant has set the tone of commitment and respect, which led his constituents to be inspired by him. Gov. Daniel is the 8th World Class Excellence Lifetime Achievement awardee at the Heritage Hotel in Pasay City on June 15.

As a leader who values education, Gov. Daniel is now pursuing his dream to encourage more parents and their children to give importance to education as well.

His empathy to those who cannot afford and those who are in remote areas motivated him to continuously build up schools in the whole province of Bulacan for elementary, secondary and tertiary education.

Also, he made sure that his projects include the repairs of dilapidated school buildings to guarantee safety in providing better learning facilities for the Bulakenyo students. Then, too, he has lined up more projects that will benefit students during online classes or once they go back to face-to-face learning.

Seen posted on his FB account are the distribution of financial aid to scholars in public and private secondary schools and to those individuals taking master's degree under Tulong pang Edukasyon para sa Bulakenyo program.

Since many have lost their jobs, the Governor tirelessly reached out to the vulnerable families and beneficiaries with their payout under DOLE’s Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program.

Beneficiaries consist of displaced workers, underemployed and seasonal workers in the province.  The governor provides monetary aid, grocery packs and a chance to win in the cash raffles held regularly.

With Gov. Daniel's long experience in the political arena and his passion to serve, it is not surprising that he was given the opportunity to take his oath for the second time as Bulacan’s Governor. It is crystal clear evidence that he is indeed a good leader. He is also a pro-vaccine advocate frontliner.

“Bumababa na po ang kaso ng COVID-19 sa atin, marami na rin ang nababakunahan. Salamat sa inyo. Kapit lang po tayo, proud po ako sa inyo dahil alam kong kabilang kayo sa mga dahilan nito, dahil nakikiisa kayo sa ating layunin na unti-unti, malampasan ang problemang ito. Tuloy lang po ang dasal dahil walang hindi ipagkakaloob ang Diyos sa ating mga dasal." This was the message of Gov. Daniel to his constituents as he is thankful that life and business are getting back to normal.

With uncounted commitments and personal meetings, the workaholic Governor is grateful that he remains strong and in pink health. He is also thankful to God for the blessings he selflessly shares with his constituents.

Truly, leadership is a social process and long journey to focus on positive results that Governor Daniel up to present hasn’t failed.  He has received numerous awards and recognitions in the government service since he became a public servant.

He reaps honor and victory because, in his heart, he does everything right in the eyes of God and people. Gov. Daniel really can lead by example and has undeniably become an achiever on a high scale!(Obette A. Serrano/contributed article)
