For paying the right taxes to the municipal government despite the pandemic, local businesses were recognized during the recent Independence Day rites in Tanay, Rizal.
Outgoing Mayor Rex Manuel Tanjuatco lauded the top five tax payers for 2020 and 2021 from the town’s business sector.
Tanjuatco said the business owners had diligently done their obligations in paying the appropriate dues despite the pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
Tanjuatco handed over the certificates of recognition to the town’s top business taxpayers for 2021, namely Bostik Philippines, Sanford Marketing, Puregold Price Club, Corb Vantress Philippines Incorporated, and Mercury Drug Corporation.
Bostik Philippines topped the list of business tax payers for 2020.
During the Independence Day rites held at the municipal grounds, Tanjuatco also lauded the contributions of the village leaders and staff for extending assistance to their constituents during the pandemic years.
Tanjuatco will assume the vice mayoral post come June 30, switching places with his father, incumbent Vice Mayor Rafael “Lito” Tanjuatco.
