Muntinlupa’s weekly new Covid-19 cases decrease


Muntinlupa City’s weekly tally of new Covid-19 cases was down 33.33 percent compared to the previous week.

Data from the City Health Office (CHO) showed that from June 6 to 12, Muntinlupa recorded 18 new Covid-18 cases with its total confirmed cases rising from 40,068 to 40,086 for the period.

The total is a decrease by nine cases compared to 27 recorded from May 30 to June 5. A total of 21 new cases were recorded from May 23 to 29.

As of June 12, Muntinlupa has 12 active Covid-19 cases out of 40,086 confirmed cases, 39,458 recoveries and 616 deaths recorded since 2020. The CHO tallied three new cases, two recoveries and zero deaths on June 12.

Of the 12 active cases, four are listed in Barangay Ayala Alabang, three each in Alabang and Cupang, and one each in Tunasan and Poblacion.

The Covid-19-free barangays in Muntinlupa as of June 12 are Putatan, Bayanan, Buli and Sucat.

At the We Heal As One Center isolation and quarantine facility in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa, there were no patients admitted as of June 10. The facility has 144 beds.

The Department of Health (DOH) previously reported the detection of Omicron subvariants BA.4, BA.5 and BA.2.12.1 in the country.

Based on the DOH’s Covid-19 tracker, the National Capital Region added 153 new Covid-19 cases on June 12 to bring the total active cases to 1,265.
