“Winning the education’s battle for equality will take many years of work for us in the education sector, but ultimately, our teachers will be at the frontlines of this fight,” Education Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones said in a statement issued Monday, June 13.

“As we work towards our goal of improving quality through Sulong EduKalidad, we recognize the urgent need to upskill and reskill our teachers so that they will be equipped to meet the changing standards, landscapes, and context of basic education,” she added.
