Wanted female drug personality in Kalinga arrested in Bicol


A wanted female drug personality in Kalinga was arrested in her home province in the Bicol region.

The suspect was identified as Realyn Jalimao Balane, 38, of San Pedro, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte.

She was arrested at her house in Jose Panganiban last June 10 by personnel of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office led by Police Major Noel Laguiwed with the assistance of the Jose Panganiban Municipal Police Station.

Balane was arrested via a warrant of arrest issued by Judge Jerson Angog of Branch 25, Regional Trial Court, 2nd Judicial Region, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga without bail for violating Republic Act (RA) 9165.

According to Police Col. Peter Tagtag Jr., Kalinga provincial police director, Balane is listed as No. 2 regional and No. 4 provincial drug personality and also wanted on the city level in the third quarter of 2022.

Balane was earlier arrested on June 16, 2016 in a search warrant operation in Hawaii, Dagupan West, Tabuk City, Kalinga and charged with violating RA 9165 after she was caught with 17 sachets of suspected shabu, pharaphernalia, ammunition, and cellphones.

The suspect was allowed to post bail for her temporary release but the court revoked it for not attending hearings.

According to Tagtag, since then, the suspect has been hiding and has not been seen in Tabuk City, until the police found out that she has returned to her province.
