Mark Shandii Bacolod, film director known for “Culion,” “Pendong,” “Sponsor,” and “Love at the End of the World,” passed away Thursday in Thailand.
His family confirmed this in a Facebook post.
It read:
"We are very saddened to inform you of the loss of our beloved Mark Shandii Bacolod who passed away peacefully last June 9, 2022.
"He was in Thailand for work at that time.
"Our family is in the process of bringing his remains back to the Philippines so we can finally lay his body to rest.
"We would like to request everyone to respect our family’s decision for privacy in this moment of grief."
Shandii was 37 years old.
