MB Daily News Update: P10-minimum fare for PUJs in NCR, Region 4, C. Luzon approved


The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) approved a petition, asking for a provisional P10-minimum fare for public utility jeepneys in Metro Manila, Region 4, and Central Luzon. The fare hike is expected to be implemented starting today.

President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. designated former University of the Philippines (UP) professor Clarita Carlos as his National Security Adviser, and former ABONO party-list representative Conrado Estrella as Agrarian Reform Secretary.

Meanwhile, the country continued to deal with the increasing number of dengue cases with a record-number of infections being logged in Cagayan province, and the Cebu City government closing Covid-19 vaccination sites to allow health workers to focus on dengue cases.
