The city government of Manila will be closing its Covid-19 Field Hospital in Luneta Park in December this year.
According to City Health Officer Dr. Arnold Pangan, the Manila Covid-19 Field Hospital will continue to take in patients and offer its services until December.
In the data provided by the Manila Public Information Office, at least 11 or three percent of the total 344 beds at the Manila Covid-19 Field Hospital are occupied as of June 7.
Of these, three are Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) who are all non-Manila residents, while the other eight patients are all non-OWFs.
Only one patient is a resident of the city.
Meanwhile, only five beds are currently occupied out of the city’s 353 Covid-19 hospital beds.
On Tuesday, the city has recorded a total of 20 Covid-19 active cases, 114,219 recoveries, and 1,936 deaths.
The city government has already administered a total of 3,461,721 doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of 5 p.m. on June 8.
