Some fans aren't happy about Janine Gutierrez sharing how she auditioned for the role of Amihan in GMA's "Encantadia" from years back.
One fan told her: "Accla @janinegutierrez ,ano yan? Kada may show ka o ganap laging dawit GMA sa presscon mo para umingay? haha move on kana ante. Sa ngalan ng brilyante ng tubig sana hindi mag flop movie mo gaya nung MMMY series mo Chareng! Labyu. PS: bute na nalang si Kylie ang naging Amihan."
She told the netizen: "No disrespect! I was asked about meant-to-be moments in my career and I just talked about how this character, named Amihan rin, was the one meant for me pala."
She added: "Super agree na good thing si Kylie yung naging Amihan sa Enca, super bagay & galing niya, lalo na action pa. Deserve."
Janine shared the story during the media screening for her first movie with Paulo Avelino, "Ngayon Kaya."
“This is a random funny story lang - I auditioned for the 'Encantadia' reboot in GMA and then parang na-shortlist, parang umabot ako sa finals. I was considered to be Amihan. And then in the end, parang the role went to someone else, tapos sobrang heartbroken ako kasi sobrang fan ako ng Enca, fan ako ni Iza. 'Di ko ma-gets. Like, oh my gosh, sobrang gusto kong gawin ito, pero I didn’t get it."
But she now understands that it happened for a reason.
“When I got the script of this '(Ngayon Kaya'), nakita ko yung name ng character ko is Amihan. So I was like, oh my gosh, like parang gets ko na this was the Amihan that was meant for me.”
Janine moved to ABS-CBN early last year.
