Queen Elizabeth II celebrates Platinum Jubilee with England's favorite bear Paddington

Queen Elizabeth is currently celebrating her seventh decade of serving the throne in England.

The festivity kicked off with a star-studded concert that was held last Saturday.  Performers include Elton John, Diana Ross, Adam Lambert, Rod Stewart, Alicia Keys, and Hans Zimmer.

But one of the highlights of the event was the pre-taped video of Queen Elizabeth having tea with Paddington, the beloved protagonist of two eponymous films from Studiocanal.

The short film shows Paddington offering the Queen a sandwich, where at the end the queen herself is revealed to keep one in her purse.

"Her Majesty is well known for her sense of humour, so it should be no surprise that she decided to take part in tonight’s sketch,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.

In the end, Paddington thanked Queen Elizabeth for a happy Jubilee and thanked her for serving the nation for seven decades.

Paddington is played by a British actor, Ben Whishaw. The film also won the award for Empire Award for Best Comedy, and was nominated for BAFTA Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and BAFTA Award for Outstanding British Film.
