Police identified the fatality as Leonardo Espinosa of Barangay 1.

Wounded were two women and a man who were hit by stray bullets, according to Police Capt. Ryan Villasario, Hinigaran police chief.

Villasario said Espinosa was driving his tricycle with a passenger when he was reportedly tailed and shot by an unidentified lone gunman on board a motorcycle.

Espinosa succumbed to multiple bullet wounds while his passenger was unharmed, Villasario said.

The three bystanders were brought to a hospital here.

Police recovered from the crime scene 11 fired cartridges, a case, and a fired bullet from an alleged .45 caliber pistol.

Villasario said they are looking into grudges as possible motive behind the killing since Espinosa's family was previously involved in a misunderstanding with another family. He, however, noted that Espinosa had no criminal record.
