According to the Ormoc City government, the objectives of the benchmarking visit is “to establish a system of measures for internal management and strategic goals; to use these measures to identify best practices; and for possible duplication of said project or facility in Ormoc City.”

The Center for the Elderly has a therapy pool, conference room, clinic, massage rooms, saunas, ballroom, lounge, dialysis center for seniors, multipurpose hall and cinema.

The Ormoc City government said Taguig has other programs for the elderly such as medical assistance and financial assistance or cash gifts.

Two Centers for the Elderly will soon open in Taguig, the Ormoc City government said, which will have therapy pool, conference room, offices, pantry elevator, PWD-friendly comfort rooms, medical clinic, gym with equipment, yoga/ballroom area, saunas for male and female, multipurpose area, cinema and rooftop garden, activity area, massage area, foot spa and outdoor exercise equipment.

Torres-Gomez and her companions also visited the Taguig City Dialysis Center, located in the same building, which can accommodate 15 patients at a time.

An Ormoc City Dialysis Center in partnership with Fresenius Kidney Care of Fresenius Medical Care will soon be available to deliver hemodialysis care and will be located in the Barangay San Pablo.

The Fresenius Medical Care will cover all processes in providing dialysis to Ormoc patients.

The city government is seeking to amend or repeal an ordinance that established the Ormoc City Hospital in order to use the facility for primary health care.

The renovation and retrofitting of the former Covid-19 isolation facility into a dialysis center will be done by Fresenius Medical Care once the ordinance is repealed.

Torres-Gomez also visited other local government units in Metro Manila for the benchmarking tour.
