Navotas City gov’t distributes cash aid to solo parents

The Navotas City government resumed on Friday, June 3, the distribution of financial assistance to qualified solo parents through the Gender and Development (GAD) fund.

Around 350 residents were able to renew their solo parent identification cards and received P2,000 each.

“All Navoteño solo parents are qualified to receive the financial assistance. Visit our City Social Welfare and Development Office, go through the necessary registration and verification, and wait for the schedule of the next payout,” Mayor Toby Tiangco said.

The Saya All, Angat All Tulong Pinansyal ng LGU ng Navotas para sa mga Solo Parents is part of the city government’s pandemic recovery program.

The program will run for the whole year and is set to benefit around 1,000 more solo parents.

The first batch, consisting of 195 beneficiaries, received their financial assistance last March.

Navotas, through City Ordinance No. 2019-17, also provides indigent solo parents P1,000 educational assistance every school year.
