The realme Buds Air 3 is an audio delight

I have been using the realme Buds Air 3 for a while now. And I have to say, I love them from the start. I’ve been using them to listen to music, watch videos, and catch up with my favorite podcasts, including Welcome to Night Vale, The Bright Sessions, and Archive 81. (Why did Netflix cancel the show too soon, huh?)

And really, realme’s Buds Air 3 is a delight. They sound decent. Not too spectacular, but well enough to bring a pleasant audio experience. Though the bass is a little too much for me.

It sports an auto pause whenever you pluck the buds out of your ear. The realme Link app companion helps customize the audio to your liking. And the IPX5 makes it resistant enough against some light splashing from the rain.

You can control between Transparency Mode and Noise Cancelling Mode by tapping on the Buds. Transparency Mode allows you to hear your surroundings while you tune in to your music.

On top of that, the design looks excellent. realme is stepping up here. The Buds Air 3 looks and feels like premium buds. There’s a glossy part above the charging case, which adds an attractive shine to it.

I enjoy the auto pairing so much. All I had to do was open the case and pull each of the buds out and by the time I plug them into my ears, they’ve already re-paired to my phone. It was a seamless transition that allowed me to just relax without over-fussing anything.

The buds are very comfortable in the ear and I’ve managed up to two hours before they start to bother me. But I believe everyone has different tolerance when it comes to in-ear buds. These past two years, I’ve been using an over-ear headphones while listening to music or playing games, so I think that may have played a factor to my lower tolerance in using realme’s Buds Air 3, which I think is great. Two hours is pretty long and a lot of audio entertainment can be consumed in that time. I have no doubt for other people who are used to using these kinds of earpieces will be able to wear it for a much longer time.

Battery is impressive. I’ve only really used them an hour or two every day and for the entire week I haven’t had the need to charge the case itself, which is convenient.

The realme Buds Air 3 was a solid hit in my book and for a piece of tech like this within P4,000, it’s a fine deal if you ask me.
