Civil Service to open application next month for August exam

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced that it will start accepting applications next month for those interested to take the eligibility examination slated in August.

The application period will be on June 2 to 16. The career service examination-pen and paper test (CSE-PPT) is set on Aug. 7 for both professional and sub-professional eligibility, the CSC said in an advisory posted on its official Facebook page.

Moreover, the Intermediate Competency on Local Treasury Examination (ICLTE) will also be conducted on Aug. 7, the CSC said.

"The Civil Service Commission urges individuals who are interested to take either examination to inquire and coordinate with the CSC Regional Office or any of its field offices where they intend to take the examination to know the specific mode of filing the application, filing venues, and exact procedures," the agency said.

To note, a civil service eligibility is required in order to enter in government service. One can be eligible by passing the civil service examination or by passing the bar examination conducted by the Supreme Court and of licensure board examinations administered by the Professional Regulation Commission.
