A team of operatives from the Southern Police Drug Enforcement Unit (SPD-DEU) and Pasay City Police seized 28 grams of shabu from three suspected drug peddlers in a buy-bust on Friday, May 27.
Col. Cesar Paday-os, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspects as Maichang dela Curz Yamane, 29; Maureen Flores Lacson, 25; and Gertics Barias Demanarig, 31.
Paday-os said the suspects were arrested around 1:00 p.m. on Friday on Guiho St. in Barangay 145, Pasay City.
He said the SPF-DEU coordinated with Pasay Police for the arrest of the suspects after receiving several complaints about their alleged illegal drug business.
The city police chief said the cops confiscated from the suspects19 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing around 28 grams of shabu worth P190,440.
Paday-os said a .22-caliber pistol with 22 live bullets was also found in possession of the suspects.
He said the three suspects were charged with illegal possession of drugs and firearms.
The confiscated shabu and firearms were brought at the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis and ballistic examination.
