Miss Universe 2021 Top 5 finalist Beatrice Gomez couldn't be grateful that she was awarded with the Military Merit Medal.

The Military Merit Medal is given "...for heroic achievement in combat or meritorious achievement for service not involving participation in combat, in connection with military operations against an enemy of the Philippines; for a single act of meritorious service either in a duty responsibility or in direct support of military operations."

On Instagram, Gomez uploaded behind-the-scene photos of her latest milestone.

She wrote as caption: "It always feels like home. I am honored to be welcomed into a new family as an Honorary Member of Friends of Marines (FOM). I am truly honored as well to be awarded with the Military Merit Medal (3M)."
