The signing of the Roll of Attorneys, the last step for the 2020 and 2021 bar passers to become full-fledged lawyers, will be held in Cagayan de Oro City for Mindanao on May 26 to 28, and in Cebu City for the Visayas on May 30 to June 3.
In an announcement, the Supreme Court’s (SC) Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) said the roll signing in Cagayan de Oro City will be from 8:30 a.m. to12 noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel, Limketkai Center, Osmeña Street.
In Cebu City, the roll signing will also be from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Social Hall, 2nd Floor, Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP) Building, East Side, Capitol Compound, Escario Street.
In the National Capital Region and Luzon the roll signing was held May 4 to 24 and will be conducted anew on June 6 to 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, and 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the SC on Padre Faura Street, Ermita, Manila.
The OBC said:
“Only those who were given clearance and attended the oath-taking ceremony shall be allowed to sign the Roll of Attorneys. Those who are required to submit their lacking documents will be allowed to sign the Roll of Attorneys only upon receipt thereof.
“The successful Bar examinees are allowed to have a maximum of two (2) guests. All are required to wear formal attire and face mask inside the venue. Those who opt to wear their national costumes will be admitted. They are advised to come on time, as scheduled. There will be no parking inside the venue. Strictly drop-off only.
“Those who are fully vaccinated must present their vaccination card upon entry. If they are unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, they must present a negative antigen test result taken in a Department of Health-accredited facility within forty-eight (48) hours before the chosen schedule.”
A total of 8,241 out of 11,402 examinees who took the first online and regionalized bar examinations last Feb. 4 and 6 passed the tests. The new lawyers took their oath last May 2.
