Parañaque Mayor Olivarez orders release of City Hall employees mid-year bonus

Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez has ordered the City Treasurer’s Office to release around P120 million for the mid-year bonus of City Hall employees.

Olivarez said City Treasurer Anthony Pulmano Pulmano was instructed to start depositing the mid-year bonus of around 7,000 City Hall employees to their ATM accounts on Monday, May 23.

He said the early release of the employees mid-year bonus is intended to help them cope with their expenses like for their children’s graduation since the school year is about to end and for the tuition of their children in the coming school year.

The mayor made the announcement during the recognition ceremony for the three athletes who competed in the South East Asian Games in Hanoi, Vietnam.

Olivarez said true Parañaqueno Ruben Gonzales from Merville won a gold medal in men’s tennis double event and also a bronze medalist in men’s tennis team.

He said Nino Alcantara from Don Bosco is a silver medalist in men’s tennis double event and a bronze medalist in men’s tennis team event.

The mayor said the son of Rep. Eric Olivarez, Eric Jed Jr., is a bronze medalist in men’s tennis team.

Olivarez said the city government recognizes their performances in the SEA Games, which gave honor and pride to the city.
