The Commission on Elections (Comelec) said it is currently looking into a report that some election documents were allegedly found in a vacant lot in Cavite

"Sumusulong na po ang imbestigasyon dito (An investigation is already underway)," said Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco on Saturday, May 21.

Laudiangco made the pronouncement amid a circulating video on social media that some election documents were allegedly left "in a vacant lot in Amadeo, Cavite."

The poll body already asked the assistance of other agencies, said Laudiangco.

"Ito po ay amin ng naipagbigay alam sa Regional Election Directors ng Region 4A at ng National Capital Region, pati na din po sa Provincial Election Supervisor ng Cavite, gayun din sa Packing and Shipping Committee (We have already informed the Regional Election Directors of Region 4A and the National Capital Region, the Provincial Election Supervisor of Cavite, as well as the Packing and Shipping Committee)," said Laudiangco.
