Southern Police District (SPD) director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg announced the arrest of two brothers who yielded P112,880 worth of shabu in a buy-bust operation in Las Piñas City at 12 a.m. Saturday, May 21.
Macaraeg said the suspects -- Randy Tianan, 41, and his brother Mark Anthony, 24, -- were apprehended by members of Las Piñas Police Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU). They are now detained at the police custodial facility.
Based on the report of Col. Jaime Santos, city police chief, the suspects were arrested after they sold shabu to a poseur-buyer during an entrapment operation on Durian St. in Golden Acres, Barangay Talon Uno, Las Piñas City.
The SPD chief said the operatives seized from the duo 16.6 grams of shabu, one blue coin purse, and P200 buy-bust money.
The confiscated shabu was brought to the SPD Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
“Let me once again remind all individuals involved in illegal drugs, our police operatives are persistent in operating illegal activities in the streets. Sooner or later you will be caught and will face the consequence of your actions,” Macaraeg said.
