The Las Piñas City government will conduct a house-to-house vaccination of children aged 0 to 23 months old against diseases.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the Department of Health (DOH) will launch “Chikiting Bakunation” on May 30 up to June 10 all over Metro Manila.
Aguilar asked Vice-Mayor April Aguilar to meet with the City Health Office team under Dr. Julie Gonzalez to prepare a plan for smooth implementation of the program.
She said the children will receive BCG or vaccines against tuberculosis, penta-hib or the 5 in 1 – a vaccine that gives protection against five life-threatening diseases like diphtheria, tetanus and others; vaccines against polio and measles.
The mayor said the house-to-house immunization will be conducted by the medical staff of every health center in the city.
Aguilar told Las Piñeros to become part of the city government health program for their protection against diseases.
