A fire broke out at a residential area in Baseco Compound in Port Area, Manila on Thursday evening, May 19.
According to the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP)- Manila, the fire reached the first alarm at 7:40 p.m and was raised to second alarm at around 7:56 p.m.
At 8:25 p.m., BFP raised it to third alarm.
The fire escalated to the fourth alarm at 8:31 p.m.
The BFP said the fire was put under control at 9:36 p.m. and was declared fire out at 12:02 a.m.
No casualties or injured persons were reported.
The damage of the fire is estimated to cost around 1 million pesos, the fire bureau said.
Around 300 families were affected in the fire.
The Philippine Coast Guard (PSG) had also declared a no-sail zone.
