Police arrest two alleged drug pushers in separate buy-busts in Bacolod and Dumaguet


BACOLOD CITY - Two alleged drug pushers were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, as authorities kept their unrelenting drive against illegal drugs and other forms of criminality.

In Dumaguete City, Davi Bendijo Aguilar, 47, of Barangay Looc, was arrested by police in Barangay Bagacay after police found about 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P680,000 in a buy-bust on Tuesday.

According to the police, Aguilar was identified as a street level individual.

Arrested in Bacolod City was Mariabel Canlas, 46, of Barangay 2 here. Canlas allegedly yielded about 55 grams of suspected shabu worth P374,000, P1,000 marked money, P12,000 boodle money, and an improvised tooter.

The total value of the confiscated illegal drugs in two operations was estimated to be P1,054,000.

Canlas is considered by police as a high value individual. She is detained at Police Station 2 in Bacolod City.
