On Wednesday, May 18, the estranged half-brothers shook and raised each other’s hands, and even hugged each other. The crowd at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Forum Tent all cheered upon witnessing such gestures of the JV and Jinggoy.

From 2013 to 2019, Ejercito served as a senator. Meanwhile, Estrada served as a senator from 2004 to 2016.

Both are sons of former President Joseph “Erap” Ejercito-Estrada.
