Dumaguete-bound commercial plane returns to Manila after technical problem

The Philippine Airlines confirmed that one of its flights experienced a technical problem after take-off from Manila on Tuesday.

Smoke came out inside the cabin of the Flight PR2543 which was en route Dumaguete City. This prompted the flight crew to return to Manila for a precautionary landing.

In a statement, PAL said all 82 passengers and four crew members were safe and were able to disembark using the aircraft’s stairs.

"Our operations teams took care of the passengers and have arranged for a replacement flight, which departed at 4:16 PM to complete their journey to Dumaguete," the statement read.
