Drug dealer arrested in Parañaque buy-bust

A 22-year-old man, tagged by the police as high value individual (HVI), was arrested during a buy-bust operation in Paranaque City on Monday, May 16.

Col. Maximo Sebastian, city police chief, identified the suspect as Alonto David, 22, and a resident of Barangay La Huerta, Parañaque City. He yielded P680,000 worth of shabu

David is now detained at the Parañaque City police custodial facility and will be charged for illegal possession of drugs.

Sebastian said David was arrested around 1:20 a.m. along Dasa Road, Irasan, Barangay San Dionisio, Parañaque City.

The city police chief said David was arrested by members of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU), Parañaque police Sub-Stations 3 and 4.

Sebastian said confiscated from the suspect were seven sachets containing shabu weighing about 100 grams and worth P680,000, a pink pouch, and the P1,000 used as buy-bust money.

He said the confiscated shabu was brought to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.

SPD chief Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg commended the Parañaque City police for the arrest of David and the confiscation of more than half a million worth of shabu.

“The successful arrest of David demonstrates our intensive anti-illegal drug operation working closely in both drug supply and demand reduction in the market,” Macaraeg said.
