Fire hits homes in Pasig City


A fire hit a residential area in Balthazar St., Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City on Sunday morning, May 15.

According to Senior Fire Officer III (SFO3) Badi of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), the fire was raised to the first alarm at 10:34 a.m.

It reached the second alarm at 10:40 a.m. and escalated to the third alarm at 10:54 a.m.

Fire trucks and firefighters flocked to the area to extinguish the blaze.

Ambulances and medics assisted people to safety, and brought the bedridden senior citizens to the nearest hospital in the area.

At 11:05 a.m., the fire was put under control, the BFP said.

By 11:48 a.m., it was declared fire out.

No casualties or injuries have so far been reported.

The cause and origin of the fire are under further investigation by the BFP, along with the cost of damages and the number of households affected by the incident.
