Commission on Elections (Comelec) Commissioner George Garcia said the winning senators will be proclaimed Wednesday if the certificate of canvass from Hong Kong arrives Monday.

In a statement, he said, the proclamation will be held in the afternoon.

"Each senator is allowed to bring five companions," said Garcia.

He said the winning party-lists may also be proclaimed Thursday afternoon.

Garcia said these are those with guaranteed seats.

On Saturday, the poll body said the National Board of Canvassers is studying the possibility of partially proclaiming the winning party-lists in the May 9 polls, particularly the leading vote getters.

"We may partially proclaim based on the total of votes that we have right now," Comelec Acting Spokesperson John Rex Laudiangco said that time.

The Comelec en banc, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, is currently canvassing the votes for senators and party-lists at the Philippine International Convention Center Forum Tent in Pasay City.
