Valenzuela City offers free dog microchipping, anti-rabies vaccination


The Valenzuela City government announced on Saturday, May 14, the schedule of “ValPets” free dog microchipping and anti-rabies vaccination program for the months of May and June.

The City Veterinary Services Office (CVSO) will go to some venues in 14 barangays in the city starting May 20 to conduct the services from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Dog owners can bring their pets for microchipping at the 3S Centers in Barangay Pulo on May 20 and in Barangay Karuhatan on May 21.

The CVSO will visit Northville 18 in Barangay Punturin on May 22; AMVA in Barangay Ugong on May 27; Assumption Ville in Barangay Lingunan on May 28; and CF Natividad in Barangay Mapulang Lupa on May 29.

The activity will be held in Barangay Wawang Pulo’s 3S Center Covered Court on June 3, Barangay Bagbaguin 3S Center Covered Court on June 4, 3S Center Grounds in Barangay Pasolo on June 5, 3S Center Malabo in Barangay Maysan on June 10, Grand Cedar Covered Court in Barangay Bignay on June 11, and in Metro Villa in Barangay Mapulang Lupa on June 12.

Owners can get the free services for their dogs in Bilog Covered Court in Barangay Balangkas on June 17, Barangay Paso De Blas 3S Center Covered Open Space on June 18, Barangay Arkong Bato’s old barangay hall covered court on June 19, Dona Marciana Subdivision in Barangay Ugong on June 24, Barangay Bisig Hall covered court on June 25, and at Orosco Street, Barangay Mapulang Lupa on June 26.

The program, which was re-launched last November 2021, aims to implant 60,000 dogs with radio frequency identification (RFID) microchips for easy tracking and verification in case they get lost or missing.

There are a total of 22,000 dogs that already got their microchips, the local government said.
