The city government of Las Piñas launched the “Kadiwa Sa Pamahalaan Tuloy-tuloy na Serbisyo sa Agri-Negosyo” to help farmers and fishermen in selling their goods at lower prices.
Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the program was launched on Friday, May 13, at the Las Piñas Admin Building from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Aguilar said the city government launched the project in coordination with City Agriculture Office and the Department of Agiculture. It will operate every Friday on the same location and time.
She said the project aims to help farmers from Baguio City, Benguet and Mindoro, as well as fishermen, in selling fresh vegetables and fish at cheaper prices.
The mayor asked residents to visit the Las Piñas City Hall every Friday and enjoy buying the fresh produce of the farmers and fishermen.
Aguilar reminded residents who will be visiting the “Kadiwa” area to always observe the existing health and safety protocols against Covid-19.
