NPD conducts clean-up drive in Caloocan City


The Northern Police District (NPD) launched a clean-up drive in Barangay 18, Caloocan City on Thursday, May 12.

Personnel of the Bureau of Jail and Management and Penology (BJMP), barangay representatives, and advocacy groups from Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela (CAMANAVA) joined the activity.

They gathered piles of plastic, rubber, styrofoam, cigarette butts, diapers that littered around the barangay.

The organizers of the clean-up drive underscored the importance of the people's collective effort in protecting the environment.

NPD director Police Brig. Gen. Ulysses Cruz urged the residents not to dump garbage in the area in order to maintain cleanliness in the area.
