Mayor Zamora, Team Makabagong San Juan win in 15-0 sweep


San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora, together with his party Team Makabagong San Juan, held their proclamation party on Monday night, May 9, after achieving a landslide 15-0 victory against their opponents in the city of San Juan.

Zamora won his second term as mayor after garnering 66,883 votes against Jun Usman who received 9,413 votes.

Vice Mayor Warren Villa also defeated his opponent Philip Cezar after receiving 55,920 votes against Cezar's 16,608.

Zamora's sister Bel was also proclaimed as San Juan's representative after tallying 49,334 votes against Jana Ejercito's 27,133 votes.

The proclamation was held at the FilOil Flying V Centre.

In his Facebook Live, Zamora thanked San Juaneños for voting for him and his team and assured them that they will continue serving the people of San Juan to the utmost.

"Kami ay nagpapasalamat sa mga minamahal naming San Juaneño sa 15-0 nyo na pagmamahal, pagtitiwala, at pagsuporta na binigay nyo samin. Nasweep po natin ang election, lahat ng 15 nating kandidato ay nanalo, at ang ibig sabihin nito ay ang tiwala ng Lungsod ng San Juan ay nasa atin (We are very grateful to our beloved San Juaneños for your 15-0 love, trust, and support that you have given us. We have swept the election and all our 15 candidates have won. This means that we have the trust of the City of San Juan)," Zamora said.

"Ito po ay isang bagay na aming pinapasalamat sa bawat San Juaneño sapagkat bihirang bihira po talagang makamit ang 15-0 lalo nat alam naman natin na ang mga katunggali ay matagal mang nagsusumikap na manalo din sila (This is one thing that we are truly thankful for to every San Juaneño because it's very rare to achieve 15-0, especially because our competitors have also been working hard to win)," he added.

The Zamora-led team consists of Angelo Agcaoili, Paul Artadi, Raissa Laurel, Ryan Llanos Dee, Ervic Vijandre, and James Yap for councilors in District 1.

The team’s slate for District 2 is composed of Don Allado, Totoy Bernando, Bea de Guzman, Macky Mathay, Kit Peralta, and Franco Tañada-Yam for councilors.
