Balanga Bishop Ruperto C. Santos has called on the Filipino faithful to accept and respect the voice of the people in the recently held national and local elections.

The bishop urged everyone to set aside differences and unite for the common good.

Santos, who also serves as the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines- Central Luzon Regional Representative said, that after the elections, the Filipino voters must accept and respect the voice or the choices of the majority.

“To vote is our constitutional right. It is our sovereign duty. Let us exercise it freely, with a clear conscience and for a better and brighter future. Once the collective will of our people has been known, let us accept it and respect the voice of our people. After the election, let us set aside divisions, work together and collaborate for the common good,” the Church leader said over Radio Veritas.

Santos expressed his gratitude to all PPCRV Volunteers in the Diocese of Balanga for their patience and hard work to ensure a smooth and orderly election.
