Mayor Belmonte casts vote, urges QCitizens to think carefully when choosing right leader

Mayor Joy Belmonte cast her vote at Christ the King Seminary covered court on Monday morning, May 9.

Belmonte lined up along with other residents for almost an hour to cast her vote.

The city mayor encountered a glitch when her ballot was rejected by the vote-counting machine (VCM).

After several tries, her ballot was successfully received by the VCM.

As we choose the right leader, let us think carefully who will we vote for),” Belmonte said in a statement.

I ask our QCitizens to come together to achieve an orderly, clean, and honest election, far from any kind of fraud and manipulation of votes... The fate of Quezon City and the country is in your hands),” she added.

The city mayor’s father, former Speaker Fernando Feliciano “Sonny” Belmonte, cast his vote at the same polling precinct.
