Elderly, PWD given priority in Caloocan City's voting precincts

Senior citizens and Persons With Disabilities (PWDs), as well as pregnant women, were given priority as they trooped to Morning Breeze Elementary School to vote on Monday, May 9.

The school has an Emergency Accessible Polling Place (EAPP) where the elderly, PWDs, and pregnant women who are unable to go to their precincts were asked to sign an authorization letter if they decide to vote in the area.

They were assisted by EAPP Support Staff who will ensure that the chairman of the Electoral Board of their precincts are informed before they can bring the ballot to the voters.

Aside from the EAPP, there is also an isolation room for voters whose body temperatures will be above 37.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) volunteers, there are around 10,000 residents who are expected to vote at the Morning Breeze Elementary School.
