"Rest assured that by Tuesday, first working day of next week, we will promulgate the four disqualification cases," Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan said in a press briefing, Sunday, May 8.

He revealed that three of the cases were already signed by the en banc.

"Actually, the three cases were already signed. But the fourth disqualification case came in so we decided to release at the same time," said Pangarungan.

"I received the fourth case last Thursday. Friday, I read it and voted. It was not promulgated because its Saturday, Sunday then tomorrow is a holiday," he added.

All seven petitions against Marcos Jr. were earlier denied by the Comelec First or Second Division.

Three separate MRs were earlier filed before the Commission en Banc, namely the consolidated disqualification cases filed by Akbayan, Abubakar Mangelen, and Bonifacio Ilagan; the petition to declare as nuisance by Danilo Lihaylihay, and petition to cancel candidacy by Fr Christian Buenafe. The MR filed by the Pudno nga Ilocano was filed April 25.
