Villar at 2nd in OCTA Senate poll behind Tulfo


UniTeam Senate bet Mark Villar placed second in a senatorial preference poll conducted by the OCTA Research Institute last April.

The survey sampled 1,200 respondents from the A, B, C, D, and E socio-economic classes from April 22 to April 25.

Villar took 55 percent of the voter preference, just behind frontrunner Raffy Tulfo who received 63 percent of the vote.

“Lubos po akong nagpapasalamat sa mga kababayan natin sa tiwala at pagpapahalaga sa aking serbisyo publiko. Maraming salamat din po sa OCTA research masaya po ako sa resulta ng survey (I thank our countrymen for their belief in my public survive. Thank you to OCTA, I am happy with these results),” Villar said in a statement on Friday, May 6.

The 10 candidates following the top two who made it to the “Magic 12” include Loren Legarda (51 percent), Migz Zubiri (49), Chiz Escudero (46), Robin Padilla (44), Alan Cayetano (40), Sherwin Gatchalian (39), Joel Villanueva (36), Jinggoy Estrada (33%), JV Ejercito (31%) and Risa Hontiveros (31%).
