TAGUM CITY, Davao del Norte--The UniTeam tandem of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will "pray for the results" of the upcoming May 9 polls.

Duterte had this to say in an ambush interview Thursday night, May 6 regarding her level of confidence entering Monday’s elections.

"Wala pang kasiguraduhan lahat, hindi natin alam ano mangyayari. Pinaghahandaan namin lahat ng puwedeng mangyari. Ipinagdarasal namin sa Diyos ang resulta at ipagpapatuloy namin ang pagbantay sa boto (Nothing is assured, we don't know what will happen. We're preparing for anything that can happen. We're praying for the results to God and we will continue to watch over the votes)," the lady mayor told reporters here.

That same morning, OCTA Research released the results of its presidential and vice presidential survey that was conducted April 22 to 25. It was its final pre-election survey.

The results showed Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer Marcos with a voter preference rating of 58 percent--a majority figure. Meanwhile, Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) chairperson Duterte similar garnered a majority figure with a 56 percent voter preference.

Marcos's closest rival, opposition leader and Vice President Leni Robredo, had a voter preference of 25 percent; while the second-placed candidate to Duterte, Senate President Vicente "Tito" Sotto, had 22 percent.

Duterte downplayed the survey results.

"Usually naman hindi indicative ang survey sa pagpanalo ng isang tao pero nagpapasalamat pa rin kami sa trust and confidence ng marami sa ating mga kababayan at sa UniTeam namin ni Bongbong Marcos at Sara Duterte (Usually surveys aren't indicative of a person's victory, still we thank most of our countrymen for showing trust and confidence to our UniTeam of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte)," she said.

On Thursday night, the UniTeam ticket held the second of their three "miting de avances" here. The first one was held last May 3 in Guimbal, Iloilo.

The third and final miting de avance for UniTeam will take place on May 7 in Parañaque City.
