Lacson secures endorsement from PSSLAI organization

Independent presidential candidate Senator Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson has secured support from the management of the Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (PSSLAI).

In a memorandum dated today (May 6) lawyer Lucas Managuelod, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of PSSLAI, encouraged all employees of their organization to “vote wisely” in the upcoming May 9, 2022 elections and pick Lacson for president.

“I urge everyone to choose with discernment. We must vote for leaders based on their competence and qualifications and not on popularity. We must elect those who embody the characteristics and virtue of a true and honest leader, who respects life, protects freedom and has the best interests of his people in his heart,” he said.

Managuelod then went on to explain why Lacson should get their votes, highlighting his “proven track record of good leadership for many years” throughout his long career in public service. He also mentioned that the 18-year senator exhibited “high moral principles and ideals.”

“We must vote for a leader who advocates good governance—a leader dedicated to creating a system of government founded on justice and peace that protects the people’s rights,” according to the PSSLAI chief.

Managuelod is convinced that out of all the candidates vying for president in the 2022 elections, only Lacson has the “strong will to purge the bureaucracy of corrupt officials and reinstitute integrity in government.”

“Remember that our vote has a significant impact on our future, especially our children’s future. It is time to give our country and our children the leaders they deserve. Thus, in this 2022 election, I will vote for Senator Panfilo ‘Ping’ Lacson for President,” said Managuelod.

“I firmly believe that he (Lacson) is the kind of leader we all need so that our nation can be great again. Once more, let us vote wisely and responsibly this coming election. Let our be heard and let our matter,” the PSSLAI chairman and CEO concluded in his memo.

Managuelod is a retired ranking police officer and was the former director of the Philippine National Police-Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (PNP-CIDG).

PSSLAI has 24 employees and more than 200,000 members who work in the public safety sector, according to its website.

It is a non-stock savings and loan organization supervised by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) that caters to the financial needs of uniformed personnel in the PNP and the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
