“With over a thousand years of amicable exchanges, our modern-day relationship has been a testament to how our friendship continues to reap good fruits whatever the challenge we may face. The COVID-19 pandemic saw both our governments working together and providing resources such as Chinese-donated and procured vaccines, face masks, PPE gears, and more for each other. During typhoons, China was the first to respond through relief aid and donations to show solidarity with those affected by the calamities. And most recently, our partnership saw the recent completion of the Binondo-Intramuros bridge, which will not only reduce traffic congestion but will also contribute to the more convenient movement of goods, including your harvested grains and fished seafood. All of these and many more were achieved through our strong bonds as friends, neighbors, and partners.” Mr. Guoliang said.

Mr. Teodoro Jonson Jr., President, Nasugbu Farmers and Fisherfolks Federation, conveyed his thanks on behalf of the members of the federation as donated supplies will be definitely helpful for the job of every farmer and fishermen.

“Through your donation, we have been able to extend help to our farmers and fishermen by providing them their needs as their source of income in their daily lives.

Thank you for making a difference through your compassion and generosity,” Mr. Jonson said.

This new leg of community pantry hopes to inspire others to keep helping one another in this challenging time because of the pandemic. The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of the Philippines is just living its mission to spread generosity and build a harmonious community for everyone.
