Alyssa Valdez withdraws from ‘PBB,’ Samantha Bernardo takes over

Alyssa Valdez won't be able to continue participating as "Pinoy Big Brother" housemate.

In a recent episode of the reality show, the volleyball player announced her withdrawal.

"Unfortunately Kuya, may ibabalita po ako sa inyo. Dito po sa labas ng inyong bahay, meron pong mga commitment po na kailangan kung gampanan para sa ating bansa," she told the show's "Kuya."

According to her, she'll be preparing as part of the national's team for the upcoming SouthEast Asian (SEA) Games to be held in Vietnam.

"Di ko po masasabi kung kailan matatapos. Kaya hindi ko po magagampanan at hindi po ako makakabalik sa loob ng inyong bahay," she said.

Recall that early this year, after eleven weeks, Alyssa and Anji Salvacion returned to the outside world as Celebrity Kumunity Top 2 of “Pinoy Big Brother Kumunity Season 10.”

The two won P100,000 each and are still in the running to become Big Winner of the season versus the Top 2 housemates of the Adult Edition and Teen Edition.

Meanwhile, the spot will be given to beauty queen Samantha Bernardo, who placed 3rd in the final tally of votes based on the combined Kumu and SMS votes after the 10 million diamonds challenge for the Final 5.

Alyssa also sent a message to Samantha.

She said: "Sissy Sam, hello! Alam ko nagtataka kung bakit ako nandito pero I just want to congratulate you sa muli mong pagpasok sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. Alam ko maibibigay ninyo ni Anji ang best niyo para ma reprecent ang batch natin sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. Kaya naman, good luck and see you sa outside world, soon!"
