RSG Philippines head coach Brian “Panda” Lim is coming in prepared for the Grand Finals regardless of which lower bracket team they will be facing in the best-of-seven affair.
The amiable coach said TNC or Smart Omega will pose a huge threat to RSG’s title hopes this season.
“I think TNC objective (centered), just need more execution and then for Omega team fight oriented, and objective tapos they can risk in their execution so I think it’s 50-50 I would appreciate any team that come to us,” said the one-time MPL champion coach.
Expounding to that thought, coach Panda said there is a stark contrast between the two teams especially with their gameplays.
He likens TNC to that of the M3 World Champion Blacklist while he thinks Omega is really a double-edged sword due to their high-risk high-reward plays.
“I think TNC is a really good team because the coaching staff and the players, they really improve every day. The best thing about TNC that I can commend is that they’re disciplined and their communication is so good. Objective based game just like Blacklist,” he explained.
“They make plays but sometime it works but sometime it doesn’t. There are teams that are strong because they know to play it and once they executed it very well then that’s very dangerous team,” he furthered.
As for his players, most of them prefer facing the MSC kings with Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto the only exception.
“Omega kasi parang sa meta updated rin sila, tas marami silang heroes tas padating ng late game malakas sila at alam nila yung ginagawa nila kung paano laruin yung sa late game,” said RSG mid laner Arvie Calderon.
“Parehas silang dangerous na katapat pero di ko pa natitry Omega eh, malakas daw sila sa late game so gusto ko sila makalaban try ko kung kaya namin,” echoed regular season MVP and RSG roamer Dylan “Light” Catipon.
“TNC nasa isip ko mas magiging prepared sila kung sila yung makakalaban namin sa Finals,” Demonkite explained.
