‘Squid Game’ star Kim Joo-ryoung, actor Son Seok-koo arrive in the Philippines


“Squid Game” star Kim Joo-ryoung and actor Son Seok-koo of the currently airing drama “My Liberation Notes” have arrived in the Philippines for the filming of a drama.

“Hello Philippines. With producer Jang,” wrote Kim Joo-ryoung in an Instagram story she posted on April 28, showing two persons outside the arrival area of Clark International Airport in Clark, Pampanga.

Son Seok-koo also posted photos of himself in the country, writing “Philippines” on Instagram. Other photos showed filming including one photo in Quezon City.

Kim Joo-ryoung and Son Seok-koo are in the cast of the drama “Casino” that will air on Disney Plus.

In “Casino,” Kim Joo-ryoung is reunited with her “Squid Game” nemesis Heo Sung-tae who played Jang Deok-su in Netflix’s global hit series.

“Casino” will be headlined by actor Choi Min-sik that depicts the tumultuous life of a man who becomes successful through a casino. It will also star Lee Dong-hwi of “Reply 1988” who arrived in the Philippines earlier.

It is the first time in 25 years that Choi Min-sik will appear in a drama since the 1997’s “Love and Separation.”
