Pasay City LGU starts 2nd Covid-19 booster shot rollout

The Pasay City local government started giving the second booster shot against Covid-19 to immunocompromised individuals on Monday, April 25.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano said the administration of the second booster shot was held at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Giga vaccination site from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. She said walk-ins were also accepted at the site.

Rubiano said immunocompromised individuals can receive their second booster shot three months after getting their first dose.

She said people who can get the second booster shot are those with immunodeficiency, HIV, active cancer, undergoing steroids treatment, patients with poor prognosis, and transplant patients.

Rubiano also said those who will be receiving their second booster shot must present their first booster vaccination card and medical certificate with doctor’s approval.

The mayor said bedridden and wheelchair-bound patients are not referred to the MOA Giga vaccination site.
