Of the 3,578 job openings, 1,494 are for local employment while 2,084 are for overseas, she said.

With the theme ‘Matatag na Manggagawa, Matatag na Bansa,’ the DOLE Caraga will lead the conduct of the 2022 Labor Day Livelihood Job Fair (Trabaho, Negosyo, Kabuhayan) on May 1 at the Robinson’s Place Butuan.

Topping the job offers for local jobseekers include sales associates, service drivers, dump truck drivers, production staff, masons and other skilled workers for construction.

As part of the Labor Day celebration, the regional office of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will also conduct a 2022 ‘Diskwento Caravan’ on reasonably-priced quality products, DOLE-13 said.

In the same occasion, DTI will showcase goods produced by its assisted livelihood beneficiaries in the different parts of Caraga region as well as “Kabuhayan” products from the DOLE-13 livelihood projects, partner organizations, and local entrepreneurs.
