Ang Probinsyano banking on Cebu votes for House bid

CEBU CITY -- Ang Probinsyano Party-list is hoping to muster the same support that it got from the Cebuanos in the previous elections.

Ang Probinsyano will barnstorm Cebu in its bid to keep a seat in the congress as it enters the crucial phase of the campaign period for the May 9 national and local elections.

“In the 2019 elections, it was the Cebuanos who gave the most number of votes to Number 50, Ang Probinsyano Party-list, which procured two seats in the House of Representatives,” the party-list said in a statement.

From April 28-30, the party-list will hold campaign rallies in Cebu, Bohol and Dumaguete.

For its Cebu stop, the party-list will be visiting Camotes Island, Bantayan Island, Sibonga, Dumanjug, Ginatilan and Cebu City.

The party-list said that in the past three years, it has brought rural development in Cebu and Bohol through the construction of farm-to-market roads and multi-purpose buildings.

The party-list has also provided medical assistance and distributed relief goods and financial assistance to 6,097 beneficiaries in Bohol and Cebu.

With the help of Ang Probinsyano, a ‘Pasalubong Center’ will soon rise in Ginatilan town, Cebu.

“Ang Probinsyano Party-list has been helping Ginatilan rise from all these calamities—pandemic, super typhoon Odette and now the war between Ukraine and Russia. We need all the help from our friends,” said Ginatilan Mayor Dean Michael Singco during the recent ground-breaking of the project.

Ang Probinsyano, through Rep. Alfred Delos Santos and Rep. Edward Delos Santos, has also poured in several projects in Tuburan town, said Tuburan Mayor Danilo Diamante.

“Ang Probinsyano has given us many programs to uplift our community. When calamity strikes, they are the first to respond so thank you very much to them,” said Diamante.
