Bongbong on his anti-poll fraud call: 'Kinakampihan tayo ng Pangulo '

Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos claimed during the UniTeam grand rally at the Bustillos area in Sampaloc, Manila on Saturday night, April 23 that no less than President Duterte sides with him when it comes his appeal against poll fraud.

This, as the UniTeam member and former Ilocos Norte governor continued to allude to the possibility of cheating in the upcoming May 9 elections.

"Hindi talaga tayo papayag na yung ginagawang kalokohan dahil sa eleksyon, ngunit...ay kinakampihan po tayo ng ating Pangulo (We certainly won't let these shenanigans during the elections happen...but our President is on our side)," he told the mammoth crowd at the country’s capital city.

"Wina-warningan niya po lahat ng mga may nag-iisip ma gumawa ng kalokohan sa susunod na halalan. Siya raw ang bahala sa inyong lahat kaya mag-isip isip kayo bago niyo gagawin yan (He has been warning those who have been thinking of carrying out shenanigans in the upcoming elections. He said he will take care or you so better think first before you do that)," added the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer.

Marcos, 64, the consistent survey frontrunner in the Palace race, has seemingly been wary of possible cheating in the elections next month, so much that he has been hammering the need to protect his votes during the past few weeks.

President Duterte has repeatedly said that he wants the May 9 polls to be clean and orderly, and has directed law enforcement agencies to ensure that this comes to pass.

Marcos and his running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, daughter of President Duterte, comprise the so-called UniTeam tandem. Mayor Duterte was also present at the Sampaloc rally.
